That's where the new vertical trim feature comes into play. Before it, I had to make this adjustment accounting for the typeface's default line height too. Now, thanks to vertical trim, we can cut off the leading completely, leaving just the height of the glyphs. This way, the extra added paddings act as a 'custom' leading for the element.
